My name is Anxhelika Deda (On-juh-lee-kah Day-duh), and I am an aspiring journalist. Fun fact: my family and I immigrated from Albania when I was two. My passion for storytelling stems from my culture—it's rich in telling stories through delicious foods, folk stories, and our traditional dance, valle. It is inherent that I love to meet new people and learn their stories.

I'm a first-year student pursuing a degree in Journalism with minors in Business of Digital Media, Justice, Law & Society, and Leadership Studies through the honors program at the University of Rhode Island. I am particularly interested in the intersection of youth mental health, technology, social media, and civic engagement.​
